The investigation began after a local resident, Ebhomien Matthew Asibor, reported suspicious child-trafficking activities involving Dachung. Following this tip, police operatives from the Iruekpen Divisional Headquarters arrested Dachung, who subsequently led them to two additional suspects: Matron Ighalo Grace from Eguavon Medical Centre and Oha Promise, both believed to be involved in facilitating the illegal transaction.
