The Governor of Edo State, Monday Okpebholo, has approved a minor reassignment of key officials in the state’s revenue sector to strengthen its revenue drive.
This was disclosed in a statement issued on Thursday by the Secretary to the State Government, Umar Ikhilor.
According to the statement, the Chairman of the Edo State Audit Service Commission, Odior Osirenimhe, has been appointed as the new Chairman of the Edo State Internal Revenue Service.
He succeeds Oladele Bankole-Balogun, who resigned from the position to pursue his aspiration in the forthcoming elections.
The Executive Governor of Edo State has approved a minor re-assignment of key officials in the State’s revenue sector in order to sustain and strengthen the State’s revenue drive,” the statement read.
The statement added that Idiake Patrick Akhimien, an Executive Director at the Edo State Internal Revenue Service, has been reassigned as Chairman of the Edo State Audit Service Commission.
It further disclosed that Victor Oamen Enemare has been appointed to replace Akhimien at the Edo State Internal Revenue Service.
He succeeds Hon. Otunba Oladele Bankole-Balogun, who has resigned from the position to pursue his aspiration in the forthcoming elections.
Consequently, Mr. Idiake Patrick Akhimien, who currently serves as an Executive Director in the Edo State Internal Revenue Service, has been re-assigned to the Edo State Audit Service Commission as its Chairman.
“In addition, Mr. Victor Oamen Enemare has been appointed to replace Mr. Idiake Patrick Akhimien at the Edo State Internal Revenue Service.
“The re-assignments and appointment take immediate effect,” the statement added.
