Born in 1946 in Eguare Ekpoma, Edo State, Nigeria, he embarked on his medical journey at the University of Ibadan and later honed his skills at Harvard University Medical College. His academic career flourished at Boston University School of Medicine, where he rose through the ranks to become a full professor of neurosurgery. His expertise and commitment to the field were recognized globally, as he delivered Grand Rounds at prestigious institutions and contributed to numerous medical journals and publications.

Prof. Ordia’s dedication extended beyond academia; he was honored with awards for clinical excellence and professionalism, and he served as a personal physician to former President George W. Bush Jr. His mission to provide compassionate care to his patients exemplified his character and commitment to the medical profession.
