A disturbing video showing senior students assaulting their junior colleague at a secondary school in Benin, Edo State, Nigeria, has gone viral online.
Physical bullying in secondary schools remains a persistent issue in Nigeria and other countries, and this clip, shared on X (formerly Twitter) by user @Benking443, has sparked widespread outrage.
In the video, two male students were seen violently attacking a junior student to the point that he could barely stand. The students have been identified as attending Igbinedion Secondary School in Benin.

The footage shows one senior student forcing the junior to the ground and repeatedly striking him with a belt. The assault escalates as the senior student begins kicking the junior in the head and stomach, causing him to cry out in pain.
The junior was then handed over to another senior, who continued the assault with equal intensity.
It got to a point that another senior student who was recording the moment can be heard pleading with the attackers to stop before the clip abruptly ends.
The video has reignited conversations about the urgent need for stronger measures against bullying in Nigerian schools.
