The Deputy Governor of Edo State, Dennis Idahosa, has urged Christians to embrace the core values of love, sacrifice, and unity as they celebrate Easter, which commemorates the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. In his Easter message, delivered through a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Friday Aghedo, Idahosa highlighted the significance of the season as a powerful reminder of hope triumphing over despair and light overcoming darkness.
He called on residents of Edo State to reflect on the meaning of Easter by fostering peace, unity, and compassion within their communities. Idahosa emphasized the importance of collective responsibility in creating a more harmonious and progressive state, stating, “Easter offers us a moment to renew our faith in God and in one another. It is a time to demonstrate selflessness, extend love to our neighbors, and recommit ourselves to the ideals of peace and unity.”
The Deputy Governor also reaffirmed the Edo State Government’s commitment to its developmental agenda under the leadership of Governor Monday Okpebholo. He noted that the administration is focused on implementing policies and programs aimed at improving the welfare and livelihoods of the people.
Idahosa encouraged citizens to support the government’s SHINE Agenda and to maintain law and order during the festive period. He concluded his message by wishing all Christians a joyous and peaceful Easter celebration, praying that the season brings renewed hope, good health, and prosperity to every home.
