Operatives of the Nigeria Police Force in Kaduna State have recovered advanced communication devices believed to have been used by kidnappers and bandits to intercept security communications.
The equipment, identified as sophisticated walkie-talkie units, was discovered during a targeted operation carried out by the Special Tactical Squad in the state.
According to police sources, the recovery forms part of ongoing efforts to dismantle criminal networks operating across Kaduna and its surrounding areas.
Security officials described the devices as more than ordinary communication tools, noting that they are capable of intercepting, monitoring, and potentially disrupting communications among armed groups.
Authorities say the development marks a significant step in strengthening tactical operations against organised criminal activity in the region.
