The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, expressed confidence in the party’s prospects for the 2027 general elections, attributing this optimism to the increasing national acceptance of President Bola Tinubu’s administration. During an event in Abuja with the Women Leaders Support Advancement group, Yilwatda emphasized the party’s readiness for the upcoming elections and highlighted the inclusivity of Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, which aims to enhance political participation among women and youth.

Yilwatda called on Nigerian women to remain engaged and supportive of the APC, recognizing their pivotal role in grassroots political mobilization. He acknowledged their dedication and urged them to spread the party’s message throughout communities. The women’s organization, represented by its Matron Dr. Martina Yilwatda and founder Deborah Hornecker, committed to strengthening their grassroots presence and mobilizing support for the APC across all states in Nigeria.

As the APC prepares for its National Caucus and National Executive Committee meetings scheduled for December 18 and 19, Yilwatda’s statements reflect the party’s ongoing efforts to consolidate its structures and strategies ahead of the elections. The party aims to leverage the achievements of the Tinubu administration while promoting greater inclusion of women in politics.
