In a Sunday statement, the Commission noted that its position is that subscribers should not be made to bear the full burden of service disruptions where operators fail to meet prescribed standards of service delivery. The Edo State Government has granted licences to Chinese firms to generate electricity from coal deposits in the state. The Commissioner for Mining, Andrew Ijegbai, who disclosed this in an interview, said that it’s part of Governor Monday Okpebholo’s efforts to boost electricity supply to residents of the state.
