Troops from the 12 Brigade of the Nigerian Army have successfully intercepted a vehicle transporting a large quantity of suspected Cannabis Sativa in Kogi State. The operation took place in Agbede, located in the Kabba-Bunu Local Government Area.

Seizure of Cannabis On December 1, 2025, the troops recovered 306 parcels of the substance, weighing a total of 276 kilograms.

Vehicle and Driver involved in the interception was a red Toyota Camry with the registration number ABJ 325 LA. The driver attempted to evade arrest upon noticing a checkpoint but was pursued and apprehended along the Apata–Lokoja road.
Following the interception, both the seized cannabis and the driver were handed over to the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) Kogi State Command for further investigation and action.

This operation underscores the ongoing efforts of the Nigerian Army to combat drug trafficking and maintain security within the region.
