The Lagos State Police Command has arrested a 30-year-old suspect, Dare Shogaolu, popularly known as “Super M,” during a routine stop-and-search operation in the Mushin area of the state.

Police operatives attached to the Mushin Division made the arrest on March 5, 2026, at about 10:00 p.m. along the LUTH Road axis while conducting an anti-crime patrol.

In a statement issued on Thursday by the Police Public Relations Officer of the command, Abimbola Adebisi, officers led by the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) intercepted the suspect after he was observed acting suspiciously while carrying a white and orange-yellow polythene bag.

A search conducted on the bag led to the recovery of one (1) locally made pistol. Other items recovered from him include one black leather purse, charms, and three pairs of slippers,” she said.

Preliminary investigations, the police said, indicated that the suspect had allegedly been involved in criminal activities in the area and had been linked to disturbances within the community.

She noted that the suspect is currently in police custody for further investigations while efforts are ongoing to track down and apprehend other members of the suspected criminal group.

The Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, CP Olohundare Jimoh, reiterates the Command’s commitment to proactive policing and the safety of all residents of the State.

He urges members of the public to continue to support the Police with credible and timely information through the Command’s emergency lines: 07061019374, 08065154338, 08063299264, 08039344870, and 09168630929.
