On Wednesday, a U.S. Marine Corps veteran named Brian McGinnis was removed from a Senate Armed Services Subcommittee hearing on Readiness and Management Support after he protested against potential military action in Iran.

McGinnis, who is running as a Green Party candidate for the Senate in North Carolina, was forcibly removed by U.S. Capitol Police. Senator Tim Sheehy (R-MT) was also involved in the incident, stating afterward that he “decided to help out and deescalate the situation.”

This incident highlights the tensions surrounding U.S. military policy and the voices of those who oppose such actions, particularly veterans and political candidates.
